The Newcastle Toy Run exists to raise community awareness and support for disadvantaged families and children, especially around key holiday times.
For over 40 years it has been providing motorcycling enthusiasts and the general public an opportunity to work together for an important cause - raising funds for families and providing toys for kids that would otherwise go without during the festive season.
First prize is valued at $6,000 and is a SYM Classic 200i Motorcycle including optional Extra Top Box and 12 months rego included.
3500 tickets only to be sold, so you're in with a good chance! 1st Prize valued at $6,000.
The Raffle for 2021 is now on sale. Tickets are priced at $5 each, 5 tickets for $25, 10 tickets for $50, 25 tickets for $100.

Charlestown Caring Group is seeking volunteers! If you have a few hours a week to spare and have a comprehensively-insured car, we have clients who receive our social support service that need assistance with transport to appointments and/or shopping assistance. Lift Lake Macquarie
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Lake Macquarie City Council and Avondale University have partnered to bring the Let’s Lift Lake Mac project to residents to help boost happiness and wellbeing.
The Let’s Lift Lake Mac program is a community version of the award-winning mental health and wellbeing program called The Lift Project, which draws together science-based, wellbeing-enhancing strategies. Run over seven weeks, participants will connect online and receive the tools, knowledge and weekly challenges to help them take charge of their own wellbeing.
Registrations for the free program are now open at theliftproject.global/letsliftlakemac, with the program officially beginning from Monday 6 September 2021 and running until September 24, 2021.

Sculpture on the Farm 2021 will showcase 150 sculptures by 73 wonderful Australian sculptors: 75 intimate indoor works and 75 garden and outdoor works. All these works will be visible in the online Sculpture Catalogue by mid-September for you to enjoy. The sales portal will be launched in time for the Sculpture on the Farm Preview on Friday 1 October.

YWCA Encore is a FREE 8 week program designed specifically for women who have experienced breast cancer to improve and retain mobility and flexibility in the upper limbs, confidence and general wellbeing. YWCA Encore is a holistic program, helping to create positive self-esteem and body image and a positive attitude to life and health. This will be held every Tuesday from October 5 to November 23 from 4.30 to 6.30pm at Newcastle Senior School, 66 Harriet Street, Waratah.
