You are invited to participate in a study into dietary quality, lifestyle, and health among Australian adults.

This project aims to explore the relationships between dietary habits and other health related factors such as demographic and mental health.

What is involved?

There are two phases to this project. Phase II is optional for those who complete Phase I and meet additional criteria.

Phase I – an online survey (open Australia wide), that takes approximately 40-60 minutes to complete on each of the three occasions over 12-months.

Phase II (optional) – one-off in-person assessment at the University of Newcastle (Callaghan Campus).

Core Stability and Low Back Pain Study

If you are either healthy or have lower back pain and would like to participate in a PhD study at the University of Newcastle with Mark Goswell, he'd like to hear from you.

The study is aiming to develop a measurable assessment of Core Stability which would require you to complete push movements and pull movements while standing on an unstable surface. The study will require 2.5 hours of your time and require you to have markers placed on your skin to assist in the measurement of joint movements.

The age limits for participants is between 18 – 64 and healthy participants can not have received treatment for an injury in the last year, and low back pain participants should have had back pain that has lasted for greater then 3 months and have not had surgery to the lower back or have spondylolithesis or osteoporosis.

Central Coast Commemoration Guard is a not for profit community group that provides Catafalque party, flag bearers and guard for Remembrance services all over the Central Coast, visiting Aged Care facilities, sporting fixtures, schools and events.

The close order military drill that displayed invokes conversation and memory in aged care residents. Schools report that their students are totally engaged and promotes interest from children in Australia’s involvement in all wars and conflicts.

Clubs often give feedback that the guard adds a sense of occasion to their event of Remembrance and promotes a larger attendance.

Central Coast Commemoration Guard's mission is involve youth in ANZAC.

Alliance Française de Newcastle's November film is the hit comedy "A Little Bit Extra." To escape the police, a son and his father find refuge in a summer camp for young adults with disabilities, posing as a resident and his educator. This film was a huge hit in France and bound to please cinemas lovers.

The little French Market begins at 6pm with the film at 7pm. The film is in French with English subtitles.
