Habitat in Harmony Community Garden is Belmont Neighbourhood Centre's longest-running environmental project, operating since 1991! Organic and permaculture techniques are used to maintain rich array of flora and fauna. It is wheelchair accessible and family-friendly. As there are bugs and bees that can sting, all children must be supervised by a parent. All welcome to come for a stroll. What: Lions "Lap The Map" for Diabetes comes to Branxton. Everyone is invited to the Lap The Map Walk for Diabetes. Lions will be selling soft drinks and bacon and egg rolls after the walk. The Longest Day for the Cancer Council
What: Golfers are encouraged to sign up for The Longest Day, the ultimate golf challenge, to raise funds for Cancer Council, NSW. What: Hunter Futurepreneurs are excited to announce that they are partnering with Young Artisans Marketplace, NSW Youth Week, Hunter Multicultural Communities and Newcastle Youth Council to bring you this COVID-Safe Christmas Youth Market, a great opportunity for our local youth aged 12-25yrs to showcase their goods, wares and/or talent (handmade, hand crafted, up-cycled goods, entertainment) all the while gaining entrepreneurial experience these Christmas Holidays! All necessary training will be provided by Hunter Futurepreneurs’ Cheryl Royle who will cover all the essentials of holding a stall at Markets on Saturday 21st November. Free lunch will be provided for registered stallholders attending the training session. The Market will be held on Saturday 5th December from 1-5PM at Hunter Multicultural Community Hall, Waratah.
