A man accused of sexually touching a child at a Newcastle supermarket has been granted bail in a Sydney court.
Police say an 11-year-old girl was with a family member at a shop at Marketown in Newcastle West on Monday 13 July 2020, when its alleged a 49-year-old man sexually touched her.
The man handed himself in at St Mary’s Police Station in Sydney’s west a few days later.
He faced Penrith Court on Thursday where he was ordered to remain at a Western Sydney address and not to enter Newcastle.
He’ll face court again on August 24.
