Police believe fatigue was a factor in an early morning crash at New Lambton.
A car hit a power pole on Bridges Road at Longworth Avenue just after 4 o’clock, with the force of the crash snapping the pole in two and bringing down power lines.
The male driver escaped injury.
Diversions are in place at St James Road, Mackie Avenue and Sketchley Parade while the crash scene is cleared.
