A woman will face court next month charged with high-range drink driving in
Newcastle on Thursday night,

with a four-year-old child in the car.

At around 6pm on Thursday the 23rd of  January 2020, the 44-year-old woman was allegedly
driving erratically along Fern Street in Islington.

Officers from Newcastle City Police District and NSW Ambulance paramedics
were called a short time later and spoke with the woman.

The woman was subjected to a roadside breath test which allegedly returned a
positive result, and was arrested and taken to Newcastle Police Station.

She was
subjected to a breath analysis which allegedly returned a reading of 0.222 and charged with high-range PCA.

She was granted conditional bail to face
Newcastle Local Court on Thursday the 13th of  February 2020.

The child is being cared for by family members.
