Fire has severely damaged a home at Belmont early Thursday morning.
Six fire trucks and a Duty Commander were called to the two storey timber and fibro home on Clift Street at 3am.
Police say the home was abandoned.
It’s taken crews about an hour and a half to extinguish and mop up the fire.
The cause of the fire is not yet known and police investigations are continuing.
