Maitland Park Bowling Club has announced it will permanently close due to ongoing financial issues.
Staff and key user groups were informed earlier this week of the decision.
The venue is owned and leased out by Maitland Council.
The 120-year-old bowling club is one of the oldest in the state, and has been in the current premises since the late 1950s.
It’s not clear what the future of the site looks like, but Council says it will take on responsibility for the maintenance of the site.
Monday 4 July will be the Bowling Club’s final day of trading.
