The driver allegedly involved in a road rage incident at Sandgate at the weekend has handed himself in to police.
Dashcam footage of the incident went viral after it showed a white four-wheel-drive ramming a P-plate driver in the right hand lane on Maitland Road on Saturday afternoon.

The driver of the first car did not stop and the driver of the second car
reported the incident to police. No one was injured as a result of the crash.
Following inquiries, a 47-year-old man attended Singleton Police Station
about 4.00pm yesterday (Monday 21 August 2017).
He was issued a court attendance notice for the offences of drive motor
vehicle menaces another with intent, negligent driving, drive
recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, and not give particulars to
other driver.
He is expected to appear at Newcastle Local Court on Thursday 5 October
2017.
