On this edition of Wellbeing, Jack Hodgins talks with Associate Professor Lisa Lampe from the University of Newcastle about anxiety disorders, estimated by the WHO to affect 264 million adults worldwide.
Prof. Lampe has been in the medical field for three decades and it was early on in her career she found an interest in the phycological components of medicine. She has recently been supported to develop an an anxiety treatment clinic within Hunter New England Mental Health which will have a key focus on teaching, and in 2021 she was made Deputy Head of the School of Medicine and Public Health within the College of Health, Medicine and Wellbeing at the University of Newcastle.
