Emergency services have been called to Bar Beach on Thursday morning where a car has gone over a cliff.
Crews arrived at the top car park off Memorial Drive.
It’s understood two elderly women and a 2-year-old child were in the car when it went over the cliff just before 10.30.
The two women have reportedly been taken away on stretchers and sustained neck injuries.
The child is believed to have suffered minor injuries, and has been transported to John Hunter Hospital.
Police say the car hit several pedestrians on the way down, with no reports of serious injuries.
It’s believed the car plunged about 10 metres down the cliff.
Emergency crews are beginning to work to retrieve the car, police have established a crime scene.
