Fire crews have managed to contain a bushfire at Cameron Park
The fire broke out at about 5.30am on Tuesday in bushland on Nancy Close.
Four RFS tankers and two Fire & Rescue NSW appliances headed to the scene, with 16 firefighters battling the blaze.
The fire burnt through about 5 hectares before it was brought under control just before 7.30.
Crews are at the scene mopping up hot spots.
The RFS says no homes were under threat at any stage.
The cause of the fire is not known and an investigation will be carried out to determine how it started.

Firefighters are battling an out-of-control bushfire at Cameron Park.
It’s believed the fire broke out early this morning in bushland on Nancy Close and smoke is impacting the Newcastle Link Road Link Road.
The fire burnt through 5 hectares so far – there is no word on whether any properties are under threat.
Rural Fire Service Crews are being assisted by teams from Fire and Rescue NSW.
