An attempted burglary didn’t end the way the alleged burglar planned when he suffered serious injuries after jumping from the top floor of a two storey home at Wangi Wangi overnight.
Police say the 47-year-old was in the process of trying to break into the home on Dobell Drive at about 9:15 last night when the owners pulled into the driveway.
In a panic, he tried to escape by jumping onto a concrete patio but injured his legs in the process.
The owners detained him until police arrived – he’s now at the John Hunter Hospital and is expected to be charged.
