After a couple of great days in Bundy it was time to head to the airport and take to the sky for my final flying leg of the Safari. This was around a four hour non stop flight and involved Air Traffic Control communication at the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Coffs Harbour. This was pretty challenging as the airways up that way are pretty busy, plus we were lucky enough to hear an F35 Lightning fighter doing his thing heading up the coast, although we didn’t see him.
No two flying days are ever the same and no two landings are either but here’s a cockpit eye view of me flying into Port Macquarie.
