It’s Day 2 of the Air Safari, and an early start in chilly Roma. It was a big day with 3 long legs on our way to Cooktown via Emerald and Charters towers.
I was a beautiful crisp inland morning, frost on the ground and it wasn’t long before I joined it with yours truly tripping over a tie down cable with a hand full of bags, broadcast equipment and laptops and luggage and falling flat on my face on the runway, quote, “It sounded like a side of beef hitting the ground”. Blood, pain and we are in the air to Emerald.
