A workplace accident at Shoal Bay has seen a man airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.
Around 8:15 this morning, emergency services were called to a workplace on Rigney Street near the intersection of Tomaree Road after being told a man had fallen from his truck.
It’s now believed the man may have been operating an excavator which rolled off the back of a truck.
The 56-year-old sustained serious head injuries and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
