A 70-year-old man is recovering in the John Hunter Hospital after a freak accident on a property north of Maitland.
The Hunter’s Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Mindaribba on Saturday afternoon where they found the man with back and chest injuries.
It’s understood a 1000 litre water tank shifted on a trailer, pinning the man between a tank and a post.
He was treated at the scene by the Helicopter Critical Care team before being taken to hospital by road ambulance in serious but stable condition.
