An 18-year-old man has a date in court in April after he was allegedly caught driving at more than 200 kilometres per hour at Raymond Terrace.

Officers were conducting speed checks on the Pacific Highway on Friday when they noticed a utility travelling south at high speed.

They say they clocked the car being driven at 209 kilometres per hour in a 110 zone.
