Two Men Injured During Home Invasion At Mayfield West

Investigations are continuing into a violent home invasion at Mayfield West.

Two heavily disguised men stormed through the front door of a unit on Maitland Road at about 6.30am on Sunday armed with an iron bar and a meat cleaver.

They became involved in a physical altercation with two male residents before fleeing.

The two injured men, aged 19 and 22, were taken to John Hunter Hospital and
treated for cuts and abrasions to their heads and faces.

They have since been
released.

Police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
