Two concerts that feature Baroque specialists can be heard on this edition of Hunter Rostrum.
Baroque bassoonist Jonas Moham-Wild is joined by Elizabeth Hugget (cello) and Mark Stuart (harpsichord) to play works by Corette, Vivaldi, Boismortier and Fasch.
Later in the program harpsichordist Anthony Jennings plays music from the late 16th and early 17th centuries, when instrumental music was developing an expressive force, no longer dependent on words for its meaning, as composers expressed lament in some movements of the dance suites popular at the time.
