On this edition of Hunter Rostrum, the New Mexico Brass Quintet features music by Handel, Scheidt, Moore, Arban and Rossini. Later in the program, clarinettist Ian Cook is partnered at the piano by Catherine Davis.

The New Mexico Brass Quintet was founded in 1973, and was the University of New Mexico’s ensemble-in-residence, and soon gained an international reputation. Their wide-ranging repertoire included Renaissance, Baroque, ragtime, pop blues and classical works.
