On Sunday’s edition of Hunter Rostrum, soprano Angela Black performs some favourite coloratura works by Handel, Mozart and Strauss, then Piers Lane plays some rambles of Percy Grainger.
Grainger was one of the greatest pianists of the early 20th century, and Piers Lane is a champion of Grainger concert transcriptions including the very romantic Ramble on Love based on Richard Strauss’s comic opera Der Rosenkavalier.
